Neogen ELISA Drug Detection KitStrong evidence supports that isoprostanes are excellent molecular biomarkers for oxidant stress. Indeed, 15-Isoprostane-F21 is already widely recognised as the “gold standard” of oxidant status. This ELISA kit has been developed for the rapid and accurate measurement of 15-Isoprostane-F21 in urine samples. Using the specially formulated buffers and diluents provided, one can simply dilute urine samples and perform the ELISA assay. No solid phrase extraction is needed. Results obtained using this kit have been validated by GC/MS following solid phase extraction of separate aliquots and show a very high degree of correlation (r > 0.8).

NOTE: For normalisation of urinary 15-isoprostane-F21 levels we recommend determination of creatinine levels. A convenient microplate creatinine kit (#430210) is available from Neogen.
